You Tube Tuesday #68
Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 8:31AM Saturday mornings when I was a kid were the best! I would get up early to watch all my favorite cartoons all morning long. The other thing about Saturday Morning cartoons were the cool mini shows during commercial breaks. Schoolhouse Rocks, Yuck Mouth, Louie the Lifeguard, and even that “Hanker for a Hunk of Cheese” guy were awesome!
BUT Saturday mornings had a dark side. A side that always made me a little uncomfortable. A side that we don’t talk about much. Do you remember this?

I sing "Yuck mouth" to my son when he refuses to brush! LOL I didn't know anyone else remembered that. And recently I heard my brother singing to his 2 year old"when my get up and go, has got up and went, I hanker for a hunk-a, a slab or slice or chunk-a, a hanker for a hunk of cheese!" We apparently watched wayyy too much TV.

Tee hee hee... seriously, though, yes, I loved Menudo. Actually, I love Menudo. It's a part of my childhood that is totally innocent. It's wonderful.
But, please, can someone tell me: what is 'bicicross'?
This video makes me want legwarmers. And a lady-mullet.
Holy crap. I am SO glad I was too old for that lovely spectacle.
But I do remember the Hanker For a Hunk of Cheese guy.
I can't believe I watched this whole video. Yikes! Actually, I'm a little too old to remember much about these guys. But I believe my younger sister-in-law loved them.
I do remember Schoolhouse Rocks. I loved those. Conjunction junction, what's your function? Oh no, now I'll be singing that in my head the rest of the evening. Oh well, thanks for bringing back a fun childhood memory.

FREAKISH!!!! I'm glad I am too young to remember that one! Jaz often reminds me of enough!!! Ha Ha Ha! I love the leg warmers though!
