Shower Scene

I am one of those people that cannot function unless I take a shower. Sure there are the camping trips out in the middle of nowhere when Jungle Ninja emerges and I can handle it but if I am anywhere near running water, you can bet I am in it first thing in the morning.

We have a ½ bath in my bedroom with a shower. A very small, RV like shower with a glass door on it. And every morning I stand under the hot water waiting for my brain to wake up so I can start my day.
Lately I have taken to “writing” one word each day on my shower door through all the fog and steam. I try to just write the first word that comes to me and then by the end of the shower, how it fits in to my life. I know I am a weirdo but you should all know that by now.
My word today was “loser.” I wrote it with a Laverne DeFazio kind of “L” and underlined it with a squiggle of my finger.
Loser?
I continued my shower with thoughts of the “Beck” song in my head. I really had felt like a loser for while. Like a total complete loser.
Loser?
I have been in a better place these last few days. Focusing on my past and seeing that I have accomplished many things.
I think the smell of Irish Spring soap did the trick.
I looked at the word and with the one swoop of my hand, I wiped it off.
I woke up.

Dude - I totally chuckled to myself with the mental image of "Jungle Ninja". Like some filthy wrecked dude hiding behind some urban shrubs (like RIGHT in the city), wildly peaking out at passerby's, etc. LOL!!
