4 Years Old

When I started this blog I had no idea what would become of it. I knew I had lived with type 1 diabetes and never felt like I belonged anywhere. I hoped that starting a blog of my own would allow me a place to express my frustrations, find support, and maybe help support others too.
All of those things have happened and so much more. I have made lifelong friendships that contain a connection that is nothing I have ever felt before. A knowing of each other in a way only those who share this disease can understand. I have found a family in all of you and cherish it as so. A beautiful thing indeed.
From the very first blog I ever read, to the first one I read this morning. From the very first commenter, to the most recent one. From the very first diabetes podcast I have ever heard, to the first podcast I have ever been a guest on. To all of these and the ones in between I want to thank you for making the last 4 years of my life amazing!
I have witnessed new communities born and others who had been around flourish! Some have been married, found love, become parents, and kept us in the loop. Others have created online tools to help us, found ways to help others, taught us new ideas, written books and just made us smile!
There are so many more I want to mention and I know more yet to be seen that will be apart of this amazing place we call the Diabetes Online Community.
I can't wait to see what the next 4 years has in store.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY! We're all so glad you share a bit of yourself with us. You keep us laughing, informed and feeling like a community.
Happy Blogiversary!!!! Woot! You rock and so does Ninjabetic.com!!!
HAPPY BLOGAVERSARY!!!!!! This community would be NOTHING - NOTHING I TELL YOU! - without you.
And thanks for including me in your overview. :-)
Agree totally with Allison. I started blogging periodically back in 2007, but only occasionally mentioned The D for the next year or two. Kept up with other D-Bloggers out there, but didn't really jump in. Then, I was inspired and motivated in 2009 to really get on the ball and be a more active part of the DOC. It's been a great ride so far, and you are one of the key reasons I got so involved. Your posts help keep me grounded and always on my toes, and I'm always grateful by the unexpected fun that can be found here! (Bacon and Ninjas help, of course!) In looking back at my early blogs, I see none other than you, G, as one of my first commenters. I also welcome the chance to continue sharing and reading your great stuff, plus everything else from this great DOC. Happy 4-Year Blogaversary!!!!!
Happy 4th, George! Looking forward to more!!

Happy Blogiversary yo!!! :-) Awesomeness you are. You deserve a black belt for this milestone.
Happy blogaversary, SuperG! You are much loved by the diabetes community, and so needed. We'd be lost without you. :)
I know, I'm late to the party, but just now catching up on my blog reading. Happy blogaversary, and thanks for doing it (and doing a good job at it, unlike the author of this comment). I look forward to the next 4 years. Of course, by then, we'll all be reading this on our Apple iSlate/meTablet/whatever they decide to call it while we sit in our silver jumpsuits and eat our meals in pill form, but it'll still be good...
