Celebrate the Gift

The DOC awards are a great way to really celebrate the gift we have in the Diabetes Online Community. We are all like one big family but I've got to tell you, this family is growing rapidly! So much so that it's hard to keep up sometimes!
On one hand that is kind of sad as we know the number of diabetics is growing all the time but than again it is awesome to know we can be there for each other and that everyone is welcome! Awesome!
So I have a challenge that I want to add on to the Awards. Go to the site and make sure you vote, but if there is anyone nominated that you don't know, find their blog or space online and check them out! We should all be able to reach out to one another since we are here for one another all the time.
I was very humbled to be nominated for a few awards. Thank you for that.
So please get on over there and vote and then, check out the blogs of those people you don't know so well.
And thanks to you Gina for this way to celebrate the DOC!

I have been feeling very thankful and grateful for the incredible community we have in the DOC. There is so much love and support, encouragement and hope, struggles and successes. It's really something special.
I have a complex because I can't keep up with all of the great blogs out there anymore. I wish I could spend time on each and every one of the blogs and sites out there and get to know everybody better.
I mean, look what happened with you and I! All through blogging and commenting. Pretty cool.

What a great idea to encourage people to check out the blogs/bloggers they aren't already familiar with!
I may blog about parenting a child with diabetes, but I also learn so much from adult PWD's.
