Best Father's Day!
Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 8:01AM For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you know that my Father’s day was quite hectic. We woke to major plumbing problems that took up most of the day. In the end a professional was called in to take care of the issue and all was well in the Simmons household.
What I did not tell anyone about was my Fathers Day gift. And the reason was it was not ready until yesterday so now I can share.
On Saturday my wife and kids took me to a special store to pick out which gift I wanted. After looking around and testing some out I found the right one. Now this kind of thing you cannot just take home especially on that day so I had to wait until yesterday to pick it up.

Meet Casey James Simmons. The newest member of the Simmons household and a giant chunk of my heart! We picked him out on Saturday at the animal shelter. I promise to have more pictures soon and maybe some of my own silly kitten videos for You Tube Tuesdays but for now, here are a few pics of him lying on my daughter (whom he is fond of) and finally falling asleep on her. So cute!

Meow - meow - meow! That is hello in cat language to CJS from my cats Zorro and Manouchka. He is just so adorable George. All my pusscats are strays - usually turning up after the July summer moves we have here in Quebec (most leases are summer only - I know - strange place I live in). Therefore, many, sigh, people leave their cats behind. I've been fortunate over the years to have many stay with me over the years. Would like more (only have 2 now) - but hubby says "non". Trust me, if he saw CJS at our door step - I think he'd change his mind.

You got me...I wasn't expecting that at all. I was expecting something new for your home gym, or a wad of bacon fried into the shape of something...but not a cat. Nothing better than kittens and puppies to make your heart sing.
