For Five Years

For five years I have been writing this blog.
For five years I have made my health more of a priority than it was.
For five years I have learned from other blogs about diabetes.
For five years I have discovered new technologies, techniques, and tricks that help me live healthier.
For five years I have shared all that I am, good, bad, and ugly for anyone to read and hopefully learn from.
For five years I have met some of the greatest people I know.
For five years I have never felt alone.
Thank you for being there for me for these last five years. I cannot imagine where I would be or if I would even be had I not found this community.
The DOC saved my life. I have said that and will continue to say that until my last breath.

I think you were actually my first-ever blog commenter, too (aside from my mom, that is).
