Change in Vision

This last weekend I spent 3 days on a music team singing songs about God. It was a spiritual retreat called Cursillo and seriously changed my vision.

The birds sing a little louder, the sky looks a little bluer, and everything looks so different.

I have worked several of these weekends before but this one hit me at a weird time. I have stuff on my mind that has been getting to me and I have been in a funk. This weekend forced me to spend some time reflecting on who I am, where I am going, and why.

There is so much going on in my head right now but I have decided that I need to start with my heart first. Than my head

I think God lives in there. I think that is where he rides around with me all day. When I check with my heart first I feel like God is guiding me.

What this means for me I am not so sure. I can tell my attitude is better. I my focus is better. Things don't seem such a big deal as they were before.

Everytime you leave a mountaintop you will undoubtably enter a valley. I hope listening to my heart will get me through it to the next mountaintop because I can see many on the horizon with my new vision.

Great to hear about your awesome time and new energy and focus, George! Trust in Him and all things are possible. Can't wait to hear how he guides your heart and mind and what evolves from that.

Happy you are feeling better. I am also in a place where I feel like I need to stop and think. I can't keep going on overdrive without a clear sense of me. It's hard, I am glad you are working it out.

I consider drumming to be one of the most therapeutic activities ever.
Maybe I should get out my Mickey Hart CD.

Hi there. I stumbled on to your blog from another blog. :)
The first line of your post caught my attention. My husband is a professional musician for a retreat center in Paradise Valley AZ. They have hosted a couple of Cursillo groups, and while I have never attended myself, he says it really is quite powerful.

I think that allowing God to live in your heart and following God's guidance from your heart is indeed a very good way to live!

I have added you to my blogroll and I look forward to getting to know you better through your posts. :)
