You Tube Tuesday #227 - You Can Do This

Kim at textingmypancreas put together an awesome project called You Can Do This. Last week I featured the promo video for the project on You Tube Tuesday and this week I want to share my submission to the project.

I honestly did not know what I was going to say. I set up the camera on the tripod and hit record. I was hoping it would not be longer that a couple of minutes but man, I just don't know when to stop.

I hope you like. I hope that someone out there with diabetes will see it and it will give them some hope. Some hope that they can do this and that they are never ever alone.

Enjoy.

Awesome post, George!

This was the shortest 8-minute video I've ever watched! Ignoring diabetes? Been there, done that for far too many years. So glad that we now have the Diabetes Online Community to help us keep fighting the good fight—'cause we (and our loved ones) are worth it. And so glad I've met you through the DOC!

George, thanks so much for sharing. I think we're all slackers with our diabetes management now and then. Thank you so much for accepting me into the DOC. I love how we're all a family. It doesn't matter what "Type" - we're all in this together!

What a moving video G-Money. Your story, of bringing yourself into the support and encouragement that the DOC offers, is the perfect example of what makes this all so great.

Your video is so awesome George. Thank you so much for sharing your story for the You Can Do This Project. I think I've told you this before, but in case you forget - you ROCK. :)

George, the part of this that moved me the most was when you said you didn't know any Type 1s back then, and you didn't know how other people were doing it. I'm so glad we have the DOC, because man, this disease would be so, so, so lonely without everyone!

Can't wait to see you tomorrow!

Goerge, thank you so much for sharing this heartfelt honest and touching video! Been there, done that on the ignoring part - to the tune of A1Cs up in the higher 13s. But finding the DOC and the support from so many has been life-changing, and you are a key part in bringing that into my world. So, thank you for showing me personally that I can do that, and helping me take the steps to do it, and for just being as awesome as bacon.
