In One Hour

I got an email from my doctor on Friday.

"I need to spend an hour with you the next time you come in. Call Monday morning and schedule an appointment for the last slot of the day. Your labs are abnormal but don't worry, we can fix it!"

An hour?

Abnormal?

Don't worry?

It?

I have not slept all weekend. Tossing and turning wondering what this all means. Not to mention work, my sister, and my own World Diabetes Day project I have been thinking about made for zero rest for my brain this weekend.

It's Monday and I have made the appointment for today.

The last appointment of the day.

One hour.

Wow... in an email? That's unusual, unless that's just the way the two of you like to correspond. (I once had an endo who emailed me my A1C results as soon as he got it. HIPAA be damned, it was mighty convenient!)

I would be saying that I hope things are OK, but from the sounds of the email, it will be. You can fix it!

I wish our endo would use email!

With a doctor who is willing to sit down with you for an hour, I am sure that you two can get this worked out. Good luck...and be well.

@jeffgillis - Thank you.

@Scott E - He does email me often which I appreciate. I am in good hands.

@Leighann - I know I am in good hands, I still worry! But I am lucky he communicates so well.

@k2 - LYLB!
