Friday, October 1, 2010 at 9:43AM That is the only word I can think of to describe how I am feeling right now.
There are 8 people that are either en route are who have already flown here from some part of the country for the walk and party tomorrow.
Every time I think about it I start crying.
My goal was to raise over $2000 as a team and we have exceded that goal by a couple hundred bucks. I got donations from family, friends, lurkers, and co workers.
I think about that and I well up.
Several companies like Extend Snack Bars, Roche, Starbucks, and Medtronic all donated door prizes for the party. Pelagic, a t-shirt company, donated the shirts for the team which saved lots of money.
That's chokes me up big time.
And today I get to pick up Scott from the airport and just thinking about seeing him here is making me cry.
Sure I am stressed. Sure I had to buy a new car battery last night because mine died and I wasn't able to get all the stuff done I needed to. Sure it is raining cats and dogs. Sure my air conditioning seems to have gone out last night.
For the first time I am not worried about anything going wrong and just swimming in all that is going right.
Tomorrow is going to be a good day.

No - Tomorrow is going to be a GREAT DAY!!! Can't wait to meet you and the rest of your team. I'll be there with our little team of about 15 - Alexa's Angels. This is our first walk ever in the almost 4 years (dx 10/18/06) since she has been diagnosed and we are so happy you are going to be there too. What a way to celebrate your 20 year milestone and all the "angels" in your life who help make the battle more bearable! See you tomorrow morning!

George, know that tomorrow as you and your team walk then celebrate, there are literally hundreds of others who will be thinking of all of you and wishing you the best. You've done a great thing, raised a lot of $$ for the cause, and many people are proud of your efforts! So, please think of all the lurkers, commenters, friends, D-O-C, family, and co-workers as being right there with you in spirit tomorrow.

If money hadn't been an issue, I know many more of us would have been there as well. You are truly one of a kind and a fantastic person.

It was really a magical trip for me George, and as Cara said, it was a great testament to all you do for the DOC.
