Lose For Lent
A while back I was struggling looking for some motivation. Something to get me to change my lazy ways and get my butt in gear. A conversation with my sister put things into perspective and sparked an idea. So today it begins.
That is what I am calling it. Lose for Lent. Sure, it’s a silly name but I mean business. So, my commitment is to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, everyday until Easter Sunday. My plan is to eat better and make better choices in response to my exercise.
The way I see it, I have lost weight in the past by eating right but exercising daily was always my biggest hurdle. If I can take this time during Lent to create a habit then come Easter Sunday I should be able to continue it.
I have to try something and I figure tapping into my faith and looking to it as my driving force and motivation will make this a snap.
Please join me if you are interested. I think we can cheer each other on and it does not matter to me if you observe Lent or go to church or whatever. What matters is creating some new healthy habits and sticking to them!
So if you are like me and struggle with exercise then try just 30 minutes a day until Easter.
Whaddya say?

Count me in! I've gained 8 lbs since I went on insulin (which I know is pretty normal) but I've also not been exercising like I should. Since Primal Stride dropped off, I've really had a hard time staying motivated. Let's DO THIS!
I'll update on my blog at: http://babscampbell.wordpress.com
Thanks for the kick in the pants, Ninja B!
I'm in! I DO exercise for 30 minutes a day no matter what, BUT I don't always pay attention to what I'm putting in my mouth!
I also REALLY like the idea of taking something on (a good habit) for Lent rather than giving up something.
I'm so in! I always give up fried foods and this year I've decided to give up "junky" food as well... so I'll add in some exercise and call it a day!!
Good luck George, may d-force be with you! :-)
