A Chapter Ends
Back in August of 2007 I became an official writer.
Well that was what it felt like although I am sure many would disagree, including me. But that summer marked the beginning of Blogabetes on dLife and I was lucky enough to be asked to be one of the contributing writers there.
Between The B.A.D. Blog and Blogabetes pretty much everything that popped into my head went into a post somewhere. It was good to have two different places to share but also it was a struggle sometimes with family, work, and life in general needing attention. Duh.
So with that, as of today, I am no longer a blogger at Blogabetes.
That was a lot harder to type than I thought I would be. Wow.
Anyhow, I know that with my new position at work time will be required of me that was not before and I would hate to either not post, or write something that I am not proud of. I cannot do that and If I cannot contribute then I need to step away.
And that is what I have done.
To all of you Blogabetes writers and the dLife crew, I will miss being a part of the team and to any of you who enjoyed reading my posts there, thank you so much. I hope I can still put out posts like that here but it is going to take some time to figure out this new part of my life and find a balance that will work.
If you don’t know what Blogabetes is, you should check it out because there are some GREAT people writing there.
Take care Blogabetes, and thanks for the awesome chapter in my life!

Well, here's to a new chapter, right? :-)
I can imagine that was a tough decision to make, and I know you will be missed over there by many. At least the Ninjabetic fix can always be had right here though :)
I hate to hear it, but I understand time restraints. I was worried you were going to stop blogging altogether! :'(
I'm glad you are still going to be around here. And I'm sorry you had to make such a tough decision.
I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it."--Rosalia de Castro, Galician writer
Well, since I'm new to the game of blogging at Diabetes1.org - I hear how difficult it is to keep all the eggs in the basket. For myself, it's been tough to think D 24/7 - that I find it hard to write my thoughts the way I used to in the beginning. Before taking on this blogging/forum role/Twitter/etc., I never thought about D, it was just something that ran in the background, and now it's all I ever think/sleep about. So, not sure how much longer I can keep up with it, along with my paying work.
Sorry you couldn't get anytime off - that is a drag. I find I have to take a technology vacation more these days due to this line of work! We all need a brain rest from time to time.
Your fabulous, we love you, and are happy and proud of you for getting a promotion!
We will miss you at Blogabetes, but thankfully we know where to find you!
Love and BACON

I hear you on the time commitments; of course, we knew you as Ninjabetic before and after Blogabetes, so I don't expect the impact to be significant for us as readers ... maybe for dLife, but not those who are registered members of The B.A.D. Blog!
I always enjoyed reading your posts over on dLife! It's a sad day, but I'm glad you are still here, George!
Bittersweet, just like you say. As long as I've got some ninjabetic posts to read, I'm cool with it. :-)
